Energy Astrology: April 2006 Column

Lassoing the Stars for a Better Life

By Cyndi Dale

Moving Forward

On March 29th, the sun exploded via a solar eclipse of enormous proportions. This event will continue to rock the world through April, finally settling at the new moon at the end of the month.

What does this mean for those of us seeking to benefit rather than suffer from life’s astronomical occurrences? March emphasized Love; April, Power. Want to understand the true meaning of power? Learn how to influence the world by first influencing yourself? Then consider the teachings of April, as we explore the world of energy astrology.

The Spiritual Backdrop

Every month or so, greater spiritual energies join with astronomical energies to support us in personal growth. What are the end goals? How about happiness! Joy! Health and healing!

You might say that there are two realities present on this planet. There’s the one we typically define as real. This world is hard. We learn and develop through strife, as do plants push through the earth to reach the air. Then there’s a world closer to that described as Heaven, Paradise, or Nirvana. This existence is as real as its nastier counterpart, with one main difference. Because we usually fail to recognize it, it seldom comes into being.

Last month, the universe sought to provide us with lessons about Love, forcing us to seek loving solutions no matter what truths we uncovered about others or ourselves. Love is the ultimate. It is also energy vital to the two realities, the challenging and the ideal. When love is present, a new, third reality begins to emerge. This sphere bridges the difficult with the perfect, and enables us to slide between both. It allows us to accept the loving nature of both. However, we must be able to walk across the bridge to use it. That’s the reason we must gather and grasp hold of Power, the energy offered to this month.

Power is energy in movement. Energy is information. Power is therefore information in motion.

Shamans often instruct us to take “acts of power,” and by doing so, to walk with courage, fearlessness, and honesty. Courage is “a power,” a set of information that defines courage. When this data is actualized, when you move courageously in the world, then you become more courageous. Information begets more information like itself.

If you want success, for instance, you must undergo acts of power from the state of success. You must recognize yourself as already successful, even if you haven’t yet materialized all the vestiges of success. Who’s to say you need a Ferrari, twelve Gucci handbags or attaché cases, and a 40-foot boat in order to qualify as successful? You don’t. You need to own the truth of success; assure yourself that it already exists; and move from that point. By doing this, you form the bridge between the here-and-now, which is less-than-perfect, and the desired. You create and manifest the third reality, which is the one based on Love through empowered action.

This month, begin to focus on the phrase, “acts of power.” What do you want to create or make more of? What manifestations would enable you to be more loving, to be more about love? Devote your behavior to acting this way, and reality will shift to make it so.

From Solar Shock to a Rooted Reality

What’s up that’s coming down in April? The major impetus for change occurred at the end of March with a solar eclipse on March 29th. This Aries blessing forced us to confront the falsity in our lives or ourselves. If we responded by lovingly embracing our real selves, we’re now ready to invite the spiritual energy of Power. You can now remake our world into the image of your desires.

You must have figured out by now that no one but yourself can make your life work. So get on with it this month! Say what you need to say; do what you need to do. Motivate reality to respond to you through acts of power that reflect the love inside. Take advantage of the still-spiraling energy of the Sun and fast-forward.

The energy of the solar eclipse initiates the powers of your third chakra. This yellow-colored energy center sits in your solar plexus and governs areas including personal power, self-esteem, will, and mental intuition. This is the brain of your body. Take time to reflect on which beliefs reinforce your loving goals and which must be expunged. Try not to look too closely into others’ processes during this time. Self-examination isn’t an excuse to change others or limit their choices, but rather to change yourself and create your own choices.

Along the way, you’ll be assisted by the full moon in Libra on April 13th. Libra lends the energy of balance and partnership. Manifesting your desires doesn’t need to be an alone process. You have friends, so have fun with them! You have family and contacts, acquaintances and spiritual guides. Link with them! We don’t use our power against others. We take action from our loving self and thus connect with others. This is how we benefit each other. And if there’s that special someone? Show them!

The new moon caps the walk of power as it opens in Taurus on April 27th. You can now review what you’ve learned through acting with love. What worked and what didn’t? Taurus reflects tenth and first chakra energies, the centers under the feet and in the groin area. These grounding and physical-based centers thrive when you get practical and take action. Use the next section to establish goals and behaviors that will high-drive you into your desired future, and you will have made much of April’s opportunities.

Power Begets a More Powerful Person

We want to act powerfully to achieve our goals, but we also want these goals to be worth our efforts! Here are some guidelines on how to select goals and objectives that will serve you well as time goes on.

  1. Take A-I-M first. Before making a goal your own, ask yourself these questions:
    1. Is it A-chievable?
    2. Is it I-important?
    3. Is it M-easurable?

Life’s not about wasting energy, but creating more of it.

  1. Listen for love. Will this goal increase or decrease the presence or intensity of love in your life? There’s no goodness in sacrificing for love, only in creating more love.
  2. Divine for the Divine. Ask yourself if God, or whatever you call your Higher Power, would support you in a particular goal. If He/She would, it’s probably a decent goal to work toward.
  3. Empower with Acts of Power. You can only accomplish a goal if you do something. Once you move, the energies of the universe can come behind you and like a turbo-charger, fast forward you on your path. Before selecting an action, ask yourself this. If I could only take one action to further my progress toward this goal, what would it be? No use wasting effort if you’re not going to increase momentum.
  4. Enjoy. What good is it to pursue a goal if the path isn’t going to be enjoyable? Even hard work can be fun.
