You’ll surge with energy think about how you’ll feel if you’re not using the greater part of your life energy to compress your “real self!” Seek balance between passion and rationality through the greater emergence of the spiritual energy of Rebirth, and this year could be the most amazing you’ve ever had.
The Spiritual Backdrop
Every so often, God invites the entire world to align with a higher energy. Consider yourself now ushered into the spiritual truth of Rebirth. This is a formal proposal to begin again; to start life over in a way that is illuminating, inspirational, and joyful. You have only to choose between two equal and real worlds to enjoy this new life.
What does it mean to be reborn? I’ll give you one extreme example. Recently, a friend of mine shared a story. She was performing a healing for a client, whom had been gravely affected by a negative entity, which some might call a demon. This evil being appeared in all his glory, wielding instruments like a black crystal sword and an equally effective silver tongue. He boasted wildly, declaring it his birthright to choose bad over good, as God granted free will to everyone and everything. As the dark one continued to brag of his own glory, the Archangel Michael appeared. Michael carries his own sword, that of truth. He cleaved the dark one in half. Black shards flew everywhere. Michael then declared that this being must now start over in the beginning of time, as he had misdirected his God-given gifts throughout eternity. The defrocked demon was transformed into an infant, an innocent, newly conceived child a new life before him.
There are many forms of and reasons for Rebirth. Obviously we don’t all need to start over from the beginning of time. Most of us require release from evil, not an ownership of evil. But we all need freedom from our past, as I’ll explain.
To be reborn is to be regenerated, especially in the area of spiritual renewal. As of Christmas Day, December 25th, 2005, we were collectively presented with a choice. We can continue on our current path, which in all probability would reinforce negative or harmful beliefs or activities; or we can select a different way of living in the world, which involves living from positive and loving ideas and actions. In short, through the influx of the spiritual truth of Rebirth, God is personally asking each of us to choose our reality and to then “make it so.”
Reality is composed of two co-existing worlds. There is the “fallen world,” the human plane that testifies to the misuse of free will. Here children are abused and go hungry, women are raped and mistreated, and men are chained and judged arbitrarily. We are all co-creators and victims of this world. Even if the rest of the universe were to pass away, leaving only one human being, this world would begin anew, for it dwells within each of our minds and souls. We are each a seed for this world.
There is another equally valid world that intertwines with the negative one. This is the place that Jesus Christ called heaven, the “heaven IN earth” that is our birthright; the Garden of Eden that breathes into being through the birth of each life form. As idealistic as this world sounds, we are products and perpetuators of this paradise. We create this world within our own hearts and spirits each time we select good over bad, love over fear, and truth over shame.
January presents the spiritual truth of Rebirth. Essentially, this energy is asking us to believe in our own goodness. Will we accept Grace, even if we don’t think that we deserve it? Will we accept this opportunity to begin again as emissaries in and from the world of heaven?
We all have reasons to feel bad about ourselves. Some people dislike themselves because they were abused and believe that they must have deserved it. This is a victim mentality. Other people hate themselves because they have hurt so many other people. This is a victor mentality. Some of us fit in both categories and we’re really confused! God is always on hand to point out Grace, the mixture of Love and Power that heals anything and everything.
Divine Love is unconditional. It erases shame, the conviction that there is something deeply and innately wrong with us. Shame makes us hate ourselves and therefore mistreat other people, either through withholding or taking love victim or victor. The fear of being worthless causes us to shy away from love and power, leaving us even more shame-based and powerless. It’s not enough to accept love; we must also assume God’s Power. Divine Power is bestowed directly from God when we say, “yes,” we’re willing to live as if we count. As soon as we decide we can be instruments, not only recipients of love, God breathes His/Her Power into us, thus activating our inner spiritual gifts, tools for achieving a higher spiritual mission. We’ve now entered a co-creative relationship with God in which the Divine and everyone else in this universe will assist us in directing energies and forces in a way that upholds the heaven in earth, not an earth devoid of heaven.
What makes this time of year so amazing? Energy astrology isn’t about months or moons or seasons; it’s about the larger energies playing in the universe. We are living in an era that is welcoming change and transformation. Accepting the gift of Rebirth is a necessary personal step that enables healing for the entire world. Begin again, and life begins again.
Astronomical Energies: What’s Up That’s Coming Down
Now THIS is a phenomenal astronomical event that promises something great!
As of December 25th, you have almost an entire year to enjoy the effects of Jupiter in Scorpio. Jupiter orbits in different signs. It’s now living in Scorpio. Jupiter calls forth drives and passions that can benefit from emphasis and attention. Scorpio is an intense energy, fueling fervor, extremism, and transformation. Whatever is hidden will rise; what has been secret shall be known; what has been captive will be freed. Expect to see your deepest drives and desires in your face forcing instruction and decisions.
Scorpio signifies Rebirth, which doubles the power of the spiritual truth of Rebirth offering renewal and choice. In terms of the chakras or bodily energy centers, Scorpio relates to the eighth chakra, located just above your head. This black point expands into all dimensions, planes, and levels of existence. It is the key point of karma, the energy of old that directs most of our opinions, beliefs, and actions. As long as we make our decisions based on karma or the past, this energy center appears black, the color of mystery and fixed patterns. When we release the past, accept the true self, and decide to start anew this time with God’s Grace as guide, the eight chakra turns silver, the color of higher communication and safety. Want to move from black to silver? Do you desire to transcend from past to a clean future? This is the year to make that choice, starting with this month.
Jupiter utilizes many chakras. This month, it highlights the sixth chakra, the place of inner vision and strategy, located in the forehead. Called the “Third Eye,” this visioning center suggests that you peer behind the obvious into the Greater Reality. LOOK UNDER THE OBVIOUS to the greater truths underneath. There you will see your true beauty, abilities, self, and wisdom. Decide to live from these truths and these alone, and you invite the Rebirth you are being offered.
The Assurance of Rebirth
How do you say, “yes” to the promise and rewards of Rebirth? How do you sculpt the wild energies of Scorpio to expand you into joy rather than further the limitations of the past? Here are some ideas for January execution:
- Perform a ritual. The inner self recognizes beginnings and endings through ceremony. Select a ceremony that has intrinsic meaning for you as a way to release the old and embrace the new. I would recommend that you consider using the elements of fire and water, symbols of burning and birth. Here are a few examples:
- Light a fire and fill a bowl with water. Now write two statements. On one paper, describe your regrets, problems, and embarrassments. On the other paper, outline your dreams, hopes, hopes, and gifts. First burn the first paper, releasing the old. Next ask God to transform the water into Holy Water. Now seep your paper in this water and ask God to empower your desires.
- Take a quiet day. Pick a day that you can be alone. Give permission for God to change you from the inside to the out on this day, reaching through reality to let you know what’s happening.
- Bathe in prayer. Fill your bathtub with whatever oils, bubble, and scents hold meaning for you. Now pray over the water, asking God to transform the water into a baptismal fount.
- Talk to a trusted advisor. In the Twelve Step Program, people perform an “amends making” when they are ready to create a new life. Ask a therapist or a close friend to listen to a prepared outline of your life regrets. Tell them that you aren’t looking for forgiveness from them, rather a release within you. After sharing your observations and feelings, imagine that your friend is you, and that you are God. Now, as God, speak to the self before you. Afterward, accept the new life that comes from releasing the old.
- Pick a due date. Babies are announced with a due date and celebrated on their birth date! Set a new “birth day” and ask God to prepare you for Rebirth on that date. Make sure you celebrate!
