Actualizing Your Imaginings:
Are You Ready for Your Dreams to Come True?
When is the last time you checked your list of dreams and goals? It doesn’t matter if you keep your wish list in your dresser drawer or annual planner, your head or your heart. If you’ve been slow to see results, this might be why: You might be outlining your desires in future tense.
Remember those verb studies in high school? There’s past tense, as in what you’ve done. There’s present tense, referring to what’s current. Then there’s future tense, suggestive of tomorrow or the day after tomorrow or even longer than that. Most of us set our goals in future tense. For instance, you might say, “I’m going to have a lot of money.” If you say this to yourself every day, you’ll never reach the day that you have a lot of money! If we’re always trying to catch our dreams, we keep chasing them away.
June’s skies present you the opportunity to change all that.
Every month offers a new spiritual truth, one that interfaces with heaven’s happenings to encourage growth and enlightenment. In June, three astronomical evolutions coincide to present you the opportunity to actualize your imaginings. This confusing but peppery phrase is synonymous with this another one, making your dreams come true. There’s one major difference. To “actualize your imaginings” explains the secret process of manifestation! This month you can actually begin to manifest your goals by using the energy of these three events:
- The moon’s North Node. Moving into Pisces, the moon now allows you to channel the booster-fire of feelings.
- The moon’s South Node. Shifting into Virgo, intention can now supercede content.
- The red-hot presence of Jupiter. Overwhelming the night sky, Jupiter forces you to see what you want. Are you ready to bathe in the energy of success?
Last month, the divine energy of Gratefulness ushered in the idea of becoming Great. Now it’s time to go the next step to actually Actualize your own Greatness.
The Spiritual Backdrop
There is a phrase from a book called The Emerald Tablet that explains the process of alchemy. It is this: As Above, So Below. What happens in the skies also occurs on earth. What transpires underneath our feet is reflected back to heaven.
We all have parts of our life that we’d like to transform into gold. We’re all seeking to be alchemists; to change what we don’t like into something that we would like. This month, the Divine works through the energy of astronomy to help us do just that. As the spiritual energy of Actualization moves across the sky, so does it fall to earth. If we can actualize our dreams on earth, we could help the stars shine a little brighter.
You don’t make your dreams come true by manifesting per se, although that is a commonly used word for the process. Wishes become real through Actualization. The word “actual” means to make real. To actualize is to work in the present tense; it is to acknowledge that what you imagine as becoming true is already true. Good-bye to past and future tense verbs; you create your desires in the present.
You perform actualization by turning fiction into fact. Right now, you might not “actually” or tangibly have a hundred thousand dollars, or whatever your magic number might be. According to the principles of energy, however, which this column is based upon, the potential for this money already exists, for the world of your imagination is real! Everything concrete started with an idea. Everything tangible began in the world of possibilities. Know your desire as actual and you can then activate it into existence!
The spiritual truth of Actualization promises that what we want not only “can be,” but “already is.” You might have to take actual steps and actual actions to “activate” your desire, to shift it from the world of possibility into the world of probability, and from there, to here. You might need to shift your attitudes, intentions, and behaviors to move your dreams from the sky to the earth. We know, however, that what you can dream in your mind can become real in your life.
The Skies Alchemize
Ready to activate your dreams? Actualize your imaginings? Three celestial energies combine to help you perform this alchemy; to help you transform your imagination into fact.
First, the moon’s North Node moves into Pisces on June 21st, just in time for summer time! It will remain here until the end of 2007. Pisces is a pleasure planet for those who like intuition and sweetness; for those who are admit the whispers of intuition and the guidance of feelings. The moon represents our inner self, our dream body, our darkly-lit feminine self. In terms of chakras, the energy bodies that govern the connection between our body and soul, this wave of magic invites a tempering and tempting of the second chakra.
The second chakra governs feelings and creativity. With this moon move, we are poised to use our feelings more creatively, to literally employ them as a child might use his or her crayons to make a masterpiece. Feelings are the fuel for actualization. If you really desire something, you have to feel it, own it, and claim it. You must smell, taste, and touch it. You must become the self that has activated your desires. You must trust your feelings more than you trust the facts, and your intuition more than appearances.
Second, the moon’s South Node shifts into Virgo, also on June 21st. Virgo excels at details and data, at making sure that all the “t’s” are crossed and that the “i’s” are dotted. Virgo energy also invites the opposite, an emphasis on intention and the larger picture rather than content and what’s underfoot.
In this new moon position, Virgo calls forth the best of the third chakra. The third chakra, housed in the solar plexus, is the development center of information and organization, administration and decision-making. To actualize your imaginings, you must pay attention to details and data but only the details that drive toward your goal. Above all, you must remember the gold that you seek.
This single most act will transform the sometimes-compulsive and overly analytical Virgo traits into more magical and mysterious truths.
The Virgo energy, you see, also relates to the seventh chakra, the place of spirituality located at the top of the head. This is the area of the priest and the priestess, the prophet that is able to grasp God’s plan and open to God’s help. This month, the energy of Actualization assists you in converting your intellect into intention, keeping you focused on the spiritual energies necessary for transformation. Allow your priest and priestess self to conduct the “inner rites” of alchemy so your desires create themselves.
Third, Jupiter predominates in the summer sky at nightfall. Jupiter is known as the “Great Beneficence,” the planet of largesse and success. And large it is. We could put 1,400 earths inside Jupiter and still have closet room! What’s great about this situation is that Jupiter keeps our goals front and center. It would be pretty hard to escape our desires, this month, what with Jupiter staring at us every night especially during dreamtime.
Jupiter began to develop an interesting condition a short while ago. An area of the planet began to turn red. Scientists speculate that some inner compounds are working their way to the surface, creating the mix of ruddy mud. As Above, So Below. Look into yourself. Are there some desires, drives, needs, or gifts that have only recently become clear? This aspect of Jupiter mirrors the first chakra center of manifestation and primal motivation. Hence the third ingredient of Actualization: To be real about
what you want.
You won’t actualize what you desire unless you own your innermost desires. It’s not enough to “stay on the surface” and go for what your parents thought you should want. Think of it. You will never become what your religion, peers, or boss thinks you should become unless you really want to be. Be real about yourself, for that is the ultimate key to Actualization: In being yourself, you can only become more of yourself.
Adding it up for Actualization
From the North Node, we get the fuel of feelings.
From the South Node, we add the drive of intention.
From Jupiter, we obtain the truth of what we want.
How can you mix these ingredients together to actualize your imaginations? To perform alchemy for success?
- Be genuine. Another word for “actual” is “genuine.” To be genuine is to be your real self, allowing no counterfeit goals, attitudes, or beliefs. How do you accomplish what takes some of us years in therapy to even begin to understand? You decide. Decide that you are worth being and more so, you are worth acting as yourself!
- Select only actual dreams.
Pick the dreams that you ACTively want to live in ACTual time and are will to ACT upon. Ask yourself this: Do I want to live this NOW?
- Feel your goals. Notice that I’m not saying, set, write, or state your objectives. I’m saying FEEL them. Imagine yourself living your dreams in current, third-dimensional reality. Actualization involves shifting the energy “next door” to you into present time. What does it feel like to actually be waking up to your dreams? What clothes do you put on? What do you smell like? What does your food taste like? What does your voice sound like on the phone? Now wear these clothes, put on that aftershave or perfume (or don’t), eat the right foods, and talk like your actualized self. You perform alchemy by living it.
- Meet your intentions. Don’t just intend to get around to actively living your dreams, be your intentional self. In every act this month, ask if you are Actualizing your imaginings. Are you greeting your intentions at the door, inviting them in, and actively engaging with them? You can become what you want to be by already being it.
