What Is Your Home Saying About You?

Over the past few weeks, we've been deep inside businesses.

As we've been preparing for a few new program launches, Cyndi's writing program, her upcoming retreats, a big fun program coming in 2027, and Bohemian Marketing starting tomorrow, we've been creating personalized Business Books for practitioners, healers, coaches, and entrepreneurs. Every one is different, but one thing keeps standing out.

Our businesses are always communicating.

Someone recently just said to us, you can tell so much about someone by the way their business is operating, or not, and vice versa. How can we tell? Through energy, including the spaces we live and work in.

So in the spirit of doing business the bohemian way, we are taking today's Tuesday Tip into Feng Shui practices, and it's something you can apply immediately. 

If you were to lay an imaginary tic-tac-toe grid over your floorplan from your front door, find the back center.

In Feng Shui, this area is connected to Fame and Reputation. It's the place that reflects how your light is expressed in the world and how others naturally experience you.

We are not talking about fame in the way of becoming famous. It's about your light. It represents how you're seen in the world, the legacy you're creating, your purpose, your visibility, and whether your gifts are being recognized in the way they were meant to be. It reflects the energy you radiate before you ever speak a word.

When you have a moment today or this week (just in time for the Full Moon Eclipse), make your way there and pause for a moment. Simply observe. 

Is this space vibrant and cared for, or has it become a place that collects clutter, unfinished projects, or things you've forgotten about?

Then ask yourself:

If someone only saw this one area of my home, what would they believe about me? 
Would they see someone who values their gifts?
Would they see someone confidently sharing their light?
Would they see someone ready for the next level, or would they see someone who has been hiding, waiting, or putting themselves last?

Our homes are constantly communicating with us. They often reveal what we're unconsciously believing long before we recognize it ourselves.

Today's invitation is simple. Spend even ten minutes honoring this space. Take note of what it seems to be saying to you, dust it, clear it, add something that inspires you, light a candle, or place something there that reminds you of who you're becoming. And most definitely make sure any "fire" element in this area is working properly. If you have light bulbs out, change them. Candles with the wicks out, toss them. 

Supportive items to keep here are healthy plants, symbols of light and how you want to be seen, reds, purples, triangular and rectangular shapes, and be mindful of too much of the water element, which also includes black and navy blues in this area. Because water puts out fire you could be putting out your own flame! 

Notice what you find! 

Sometimes the smallest shift in our environment becomes the first step toward allowing the world to see us more clearly.
